Has anybody out there fitted a seat from a modern V7 onto a Spada or T3 type Moto Guzzi? I know the latch is different. My problem is where the seat meets the tank as they don’t match up well.

I’ve not done it, but it’s on my “to do” list for my Monza - I’ll probably ignore the incompatability (or get a V7 tank) and mount it on a bracket which screws in to the unused threaded holes at the rear of the V7 seat.
I’m not so worried about the latch as I can make something up and fit a V7 catch. It’s just the front. The V7 tank has a cut away at the back of it that the seat fits into. The front of the seat is narrower than the T3 tank so I either need to splay the front of the seat or cut a bit off it.I don’t want to alter the tank.
