Service light.

If I have the V100 serviced at 4000 miles, will the service light come on next at 7500 miles or 7500 miles later,ie. 11500 miles? Thanks.

I’m not 100% sure, but I strongly suspect it will depend on whether the person carrying out the service resets the service ‘clock’ at 4,000 miles. If they do then it should remind you after another 12 months or another 7,500 miles whichever comes first, if not it will probably give a reminder at 7,500 if that makes sense?

It’ll come on when the bike has done 7,500 miles. Irrespective of when previous service was carried out.

Crickey, that’s surprising! Thanks for clarifying.

A mate bought a gadget to allow him to reset the service light after he’d done his own servicing on his Beemer, so I’d assumed modern Guzzis would have some sort of reset facility, especially for those that have their servicing done annually and do less than 7.5k a year.

The dealer will reset the service light no problem. You should be aware that the warranty requires servicing to be carried out at set milage intervals OR every 12 months. Whichever comes first. You may only do a few miles a year but will still need serviced yearly. Your warranty will be void otherwise.
