Great idea to modify the side stand to come further forward and be more secure. I only use the centre stand on my Monza because of my lack of trust in the side stand, but also because for some reason the peg you use your foot on seems to sit under the exhaust and is next to impossible to open out with my bike boot. In addition, I have 2 springs and maybe should remove one to prevent it closing even while the bike is leaning on it!
