Reluctant sale of my 1980 Moto Guzzi Le Mans II – Coburn and Hughes black and gold edition.
The bike is amazing and runs like a top. It was brought to near-original specification during refurbishment by a well know expert in the Guzzi community, being finished in 2019. It was completely rewired at the time by renown specialist Steve Hallam, including LED dash lights and new fuse box etc. Paintwork done by the late Chris Tunner and the mechanics were given the once over by Baldrick.
I’ve owned the bike since March 2022 and ridden it locally to various meets and shows and well as a 1000 mile tour to the Picos in northern Spain in the summer this year. An absolute hoot in the twisties and more than capable enough to keep up with modern stuff.
I’ve made a couple of changes since ownership:
- Stucchi seat professionally recovered by Viking Motorcycle Seats including a gel pad.
- Renthal Superbike bars fitted for comfort on longer rides. This needed a replacement rubber dash which was cut to allow the fit. The original (perfect) one comes with the bike.
- Rear Ohlins black spring shocks less than 1500 miles ago.
- Lower fairings removed – but included with the bike.
- New front brake disks and pads with less that 200 miles on them
- Last service with all oils and filter changed in May 2024, less than 2000 miles ago.
I have a folder full of history and receipts to go along with the bike.
As the bike has been used by me and a previous owner since the rebuild there are a couple of nicks in the paint in places, but nothing major and should be visible in the photos attached
Priced to sell at £6,750, reflecting the downturn in the bike prices currently. This is substantially less than I paid for it, so grab a bargain for a real classic beauty, well sorted and running right.
