Speedo + tacho cables, Le Mans 1

I suspect I am not the only one who has had this issue: the cables won’t squeeze in behind the headlamp shell to secure to the back of the gauges.

Suggestions please.

I think that some Guzzis have a 90-degree gearbox for the speedo drive that mount on the back of the instrument, and possibly the tacho. Might be worth a look through Gutsibits or similar websites?

As above, most have a 90 degree gearbox on the back of the clocks. Have alook at the parts book to see if that is correct for the LeMans.
This is the back of the clocks on my 1978 Spada

I was fiddling with exactly the same thing on my Mk1 last weekend. It came with weirdly long brackets holding the speedo cluster to the fork legs. This made the wee fairing an odd fit and messed with the cables. I sourced original brackets and the angles were very different. Cables now fit well. I can take some photos next weekend if it helps…

Thanks. Something like that would do the trick.
