Brake calliper mounting bolt torque settings anyone?
Have scoured the mechy manual but can’t find anything specific to these - the standard 1.25p M8 is 2.5 - 3.0 kgm => circa 25Nm (18 ft/lbs)
Just need reassurance it’s in the right area of necessary force before I burst summat.

Never used a torque wrench on those, just do them up reasonably tight with a long allen key. Never had a problem.
Don’t forget, no matter what the tensile strength of the bolt, it is threaded into an alloy casting.Brian UK2014-03-04 23:14:36
Using similar method as T/W can’t access some cleanly. Dab of Loctite to be sure. The general setting of 2.5 to 3 kgf from w/shop manual is almost half of that from the table - alloy threading recognised.
