Stelvio breather pipe replacement

Can anybody tell me the ‘easiest’ way to replace the left hand breather pipe on a 2015 Stelvio? I did the right hand one a while ago and that was pretty ‘chewy’ and I remember thinking the left hand one looked even worse because you can’t even see where it fits onto the breather box. There is talk on-line about ‘nudging’ the ABS box to one side a bit, but I don’t see that will help that much for the left hand pipe. Thanks.

Hi John, as you have noticed, it is not easy. What you have rad is correct. Undo the bolts holding the ABS pump, and, if I remember correctly you can also loosen the coils. Every little bit helps. I then softened the end of the rubber pipe in hot water to make it easier to stretch over the collector box inlet stub. You can coat both parts with washing up liquid to act as a lubricant. I used a pair of water pump pliers to grip the pipe and then it is a matter of wriggling the soft warm open end over the stub. I can assure you you will succeed! Hope this helps, cheers Phil

Thanks Phil - you have remined me of what a tight fit the pipes are! I like the water pump pliers approach. Cheers. JOHN
