I, too, need a new one, after the “Official Piaggio Service Agent” crossed/over-tightened mine, at the first service, and buggered up the thread.
Surprisingly, the sump plate is listed at around €65 (plus extortionate postage, and Brexit tax), on various sites in mainland Europe, but, there’s no way on earth that these crooks (MG) can justify their outrageous price to buy that plug.

Get M18 x 1.5. I also ordered some M18 aluminium crush washers (it is was was used on original).
I suspect that the damage was caused in a similar fashion to yours - it is spline not torx!
I was told new sump was £350!!! And non returnable if it wasn’t required. So £60///
Are you sure thread is OK? If not, you will probably need to remove the sump and then use a thread repair kit.
