T5 Charging Frustrations....

Have all been sorted, thanks to Paul at Corsa Italiania…

Remember how I was getting to the point of a gallon of paraffin, and a box of Swan Vesta…? Well that was brought on by the bloody thing not charging, me, AND others had done all we knew, swapped out everything that makes electric for known working parts. And STILL it wouldn’t throw out a charge, so off to Paul…

That lad found four problems, two of which were hiding behind the dash board, amounting to dodgy Earths, and a furry connector. Then he found a short, and along with something else which I forget now (Due to me celebratory Ale) I ended up with the bike purring like a kitten. Once the charging troubles were sorted, he treated it to Electronic ignition, so now you watch me, why, I MIGHT even wash it…

Although thinking about it, let’s not go TOO mad eh…

So that’s it lads, thanks for all the help, till my next Frustration I’ll try to ride it’s wheels off, see you in a field somewhere…

Glad you got it sorted, it’s always the hidden little things.

Well done Shaun, thats been a long journey .

Any idea what Ignition he put on it ?

Top bunch at Corsa…
I too have drink taken…di  fferent reason…

Chilly, yes I DO know it’s a Newtronic ignition system, seems to make the bike run better, unless I’m imagining that… The 60 odd miles back, it was running very well indeed. Only time will tell I guess, the bike will be on the commute next week, so wish me luck…

I know I’m weird, but I LOVE this old heap, THE most comfortable bike I own, without question. And knowing some hate this model makes it even more loveable…

Glad you got it sorted.
I have a Newtronic system on the Spada. It works great for me. Fit and forget it.
