Looking for some suggestions for V85TT tank bag options.
I did have the kriega US-10 and the tank strap on my XSR900. But not sure how this will look on the new bike. Or if it will fit as neatly.
I don’t get delivery of the bike until Friday. But wondered if anyone was running this set up or not and had any pictures of them installed.
the US-10 is just the right size to fit my laptop and lunch in travel back and forth to work. Otherwise, I’d need to use my SW-MOTECH sysbags. Haven’t bought the pannier rails for that though as a bit pricey and would also need a conversion plate too.
Hi Gabbo! I don’t know what access you have to frame rails at the back or suitable mounting points but have you considered lashing your existing Kriega bag over the pillion seat?
The little loop straps that take the ally hooks on the Kriega stuff are unobtrusive and essentially quick release.
I have two of the US10 bags and a US 30 and when hooked to each other, one 10 either side of the 30, you got a throw over set. Done that way you only need to tether the main bag and can lift off all three as a piece.
That all may be useless input and if so.. apols!
Also picked up on someone here that the flange for the fuel cap, BF02 I think, fits most of both Givi and Kappa tank bags. The flange I got from Sportbikeshop for around 12 quid.
That’s a good point about the US-10 on the passenger seat. I’ll have to find the little hooks now. That’ll be a good set up for just back and forth to work or a day trip. But if I go one a trip (doesn’t happen as often as I’d like) then I’d need something on the tank for docs and passport, etc.
Is the mount the one that’s offset from the fuel cap? Sort of towards the seat?
I do also have a kriega rucksack. Not ideal for a laptop in there as there is a curve built into the bag which makes it not the best for work I’d say.
