Tank issues Griso and Cali vintage
Both suffer from the new fuel, Griso expands , does this continue until jammed in the frame and what is the cure ? Vintage corrosion ie tank sealing but this model has fuel pump inboard di you have to strip pump out seal tank and refit ? What a pain early Cali had pump under left panel ie easy to get to, improvement I think not. Thanks for any info regards Ratt
Has the Cali tank definitely got rust inside, or are you assuming that it has / will have in future?
I wouldn’t want to put sealer in with the pump still in there, so yes remove it. Does sound like a more complicated job.
I basically don’t know about rust in vintage tank, the thought of stripping it and removing pump then fitting temporary plate and sealing it does not appeal at all
