Morning all, looking for an original type tank mounting bolt and spacer for a MK1 Le mans, as I have one side missing. I’ve ordered a new rubber but need everything else.

Presumably it is just a bolt, washers and a steel sleeve spacer? You can buy the bolt and washers off ebay, do you know anyone with a lathe that could make the spacer for you?

I had the spacers turned on a lathe out of solid stainless steel round bar for me, the bolts and washers are stock stainless steel fasteners, it is only the rubbers that need to be original.
When I stripped my bike I measured and recorded every nut, bolt and washer and replaced them with stainless steel, it keeps the bike nice and shiny.

Thanks guys. I don’t usually do this originality stuff, but the bike in question is 100% original and I’d like to get the right bolt if I can, as I’ll always see it if it’s wrong

how many owners has it had? i seriously doubt that all the fasteners on a near 50 year old bike are “original” 
The original bolts, and all other fasteners are not made by Moto Guzzi but are generic, the factory buy them in and so I see no need to find an original bolt. If you were to go down that route would you want the original finish too? If the answer to that is question is yes, then you would also have to take of all of the other rusty fasteners, get them shot blasted and bright zinc plated.
It far is simpler just to buy new BZP or stainless steel, like me.

Surprisingly good, some surface rust here and there
