that day but parked up about a mile away due to no public vehicle access to the location, also might give a bit of a clue to the area.

That is wicked cropping.
Croissant, French name and a coffee cup that appears to have no handle.
I would normally guess France or Belgium but I think this is in the UK because the exhaust pipe on the car is on the wrong side to be on mainland europe.
