Tire Repair or new?

Well first time ever, got a puncture on Bufallo Bella. Not bad for 40 years of riding I suppose.

Anyway, after the collective thoughts and opinions. Repair with the string and glue kit, then ride and not worry about it, new tire or professional repair?

That looks very plugable on the proviso it is a tubeless tyre. If the tyre has a tube, change the tube.

I agree. Very pluggable.

Thanks. Yes tubeless and was intending to plug, just wanted reassurance that it would be ok as a permanent thing. Tomorrow’s job sorted.

Plug it :+1::+1::+1: with the rope type.
I did 2000 miles ago after only a week of a new tyre :frowning::frowning:

I have had a few good successes using the brown string type tubeless repair kits, on Michelin Road 5 tyres, interestingly I hadn’t had a puncture for 30 years before using the Michelin tyres and then 1 puncture on a worn out tyre then 2 more punctures immediately afterward, either bad luck or the michelin tyres pick things up more than Dunlops or Metz.

Well so far the plug has stood up to some 300 miles of reasonably hard riding. I tried using a plug kit that I had been carrying around for years that were some supposedly super duper rubber butterfly plugs that expand inside to create a superior plug. What a load of rubbish. Kept splitting when I tried to insert them. Brought a set of string type which worked straight off.
