Transmission bearings

Hi
I need transmission bearings for my Stornello sport. Does anyone know of a company that would stock them.
Cheers Syrup Head

Hi Graham. What do you mean by transmission bearings? I assume you mean for the gearbx etc. I replaced all the bearings in my Turismo engine and they weren’t cheap, I think one bearing was £65.
Most of the Stornello engine bearings are quite narrow 9, 10 & 11mm width. They are available from most decent bearing stockists. Simply Bearings are a good start if you don’t have a local shop. I think mine came from Leicester Bearings.

Hi Don yes the bearings for the gearbox and Kickstarter shaft. I have tried local bearing suppliers without success .I will look further afield.
Cheers Graham.

Essex Bearings in Hall Road, Maldon have always met my needs, I take in the old bearing, they measure it and sell me a replacement. Excellent service in my opinion, I am not connected to this firm in any other way than being a satisfied customer!

If you have the engine apart, are you aware of how to set up the gearbox correctly? Many people get it wrong. Have a look at the service sheet that explains the proceedure Available from my DropBox files…
