TT Travels - Isle of Man

Any TT MGP fans out there..?

Not sorted my TT ticket yet, (I don’t usually bother until I’ve checked the weather closer to the date), but strangely (for me at least) I have booked crossings for the Manx GP/Classic in August.
This time I’m taking the V7 over in the back of my Bongo (camper).

Weather willing it should be good :+1:

Anything will be better than the weather at last years Classic TT

The weather on the island alternates year to year

Er no… hour by hour, even minute by minute on occasion, and you can often get four seasons at the same time..
I recall one year, it was tipping it down most of the day where we’d camped, mist on the mountain, totally dry all day where we’d gone to watch, and we woke the next day to find we had frost on the tent, and sunburn on our heads… crazy place

I once sat up the mountain and got sun burnt feet. Then rode back to Sulby and had to leave all my gear in the garage because it was soaking wet.

Just managed to get a crossing for my Bongo, heading over with my boy and a couple of pushbikes stuffed in the back, fingers crossed for decent weather.. or easy access to the bar

Incidentally, RadioTT is up and running, I’m currently listening to this evening’s Practice session :+1:

I’ll be there, ferry and accommodation all booked. I’ve been the last three years on my V85TT, sorely tempted to go on my 1994 Monster this year.

It is addicTTive eh.. this year was my 30th trip over to the Island.! :isle_of_man:
I’m heading back in August too, taking the Guzzi to the Manx/Classic GP :+1:

I was there on my V85TT and my mate on his ‘reliable’ Speed Triple… guess who had to be recovered home!

This was me on the mountain!

Nice pic.. :ok_hand:

Guthrie’s Memorial (in the background there) has I reckon, the best views of all the spots I’ve Marshalled on the island.
Clearly a photographer’s favourite too, :+1:

(Looks like you’ve just blasted past ‘The Wild Hogs’).
