Has anyone got any advice about tyre options for the Mandello (S)? I’m off on a trip across Europe in a few weeks, and although there is plenty of tread on the originals at present, I rather doubt that that will be the case after another 3-4000 miles. The rear is starting to look just a bit square too. I had “fun” in the north of Scotland last year trying to find a rear tyre for my Himalayan, so I am a bit paranoid about tread!
I’ve no complaints with the original Angel IIs, but I’ve no experience of anything else to make a comparison.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
I’m using Bridgestone S23s. Very nice handling tyre, but only done about 1000 miles on them so far so don’t know how durable they are.
They handle better than the stock tyres, IMHO.
Thank you - I’ll put them on my “to consider” list.
I fitted Continentals Road Attack 4’s just before I came away in February so I’ve only done about 50 miles on them on wet and greasy roads. Haven’t really an opinion yet.
Mine came with Michelin Road 6’s which are very good indeed, I ran Road 5’s on my BMW and they were excellent as well.
I don’t have a V100 but I’ve had Michelin Road 4’s, 5’s and 6’s on various bikes - recently had 6’s on a Honda Blackbird and they were excellent alrounders. They last well and have excellent wet grip.
