U.L.E.Z. OUTER LONDON APRIL 2019

I got a reply today
they told me to piss off
in spite of sending newspaper articles showing it was Euro 3 compliant, and high res images of the markings on the cats
and all the other paperwork
so it looks like I need to get a letter from Moto Guzzi
meanwhile when I visit my parents I will take the Hyundai sit in the long line of stationery motor cars, all of them with one person on board and most of them being much larger than mine, and listen to the radio

well I managed to locate the relevant site
but it looks like I have to pay 80 Euros
which I find odd as the machine will have been supplied with this new, but I didn’t see anything like it
so I guess Mayor Khan can get stuffed and I wont bother
I will get the coach down instead or drive

A couple of months ago I bought a Suzuki V strom 1000 it came with a separate certificate of conformity in with all the paperwork. I would have thought the supplying dealer would be able to get one

Hi Keith,
A number of people have attempted to appeal to Piaggio for free/discounted certificates and have not met with any success.
I approached a couple of Piaggio/Moto Guzzi UK contacts and was equally unsuccesful.

Well for me the only journeys into London are going to be on the coach from now on
having endured months of messing about with the dog eaters car, I collected it from the gearbox specialists yesterday to find they cannot fix the fault that they created , and its even worse
so stuff the environment 7ks worth of car is going to the Auction house for scrap and I am going back to an old banger
its making the guzzi look like a Honda for reliability !!

I was just reading the latest BMF Motorcycle rider magazine and there is an section about the ULEZ in which it mentions the Transport for London web site and how by going to their web site tfl.gov.uk you can check if your vehicle is registered as exempt. I went on and with a little bit of hunting found the section for motorcycles put in the reg for my 2010 stelvio and it came up exempt then i tried my 2019 suzuki v strom 1000 and that also came up as exempt so try the tfl.gov.uk web site first. It could save you a lot of money most models introduced from January 1st 2006 should be exempt the charge
Regards Keith
p.s I don’t live anywhere near London so probably wont need it

Sorry have to ask, dog eater?

Korean I’m guessing?

AH! Oh-kay…

Cheers Keith,
Valuable information.
Steve

I found it here https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle-35896

2011 Stelvio is ULEZ free but 1974 Tonti is only LEZ charge free as is my Triumph but Karen’s Piaggio can go anywhere
