It’s time to come out of hibernation this month (February for those who haven’t turned the page on their calendars yet) with two events at the now familiar Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet - yes it can be bitterly cold outside but there is a cafeteria and a restaurant inside.
First off is the VMCC autojumble on Saturday 19th February. The following weekend is the (confusingly named) Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show, a great event not to be missed!
In previous years Somerset’s Bob Smith has organised some marvellous displays on behalf of the Moto Guzzi Club, but since his retirement Staffordshire’s Chris Judd and Don Rudge have taken up the challenge. Of particular interest to Mid Dorset Branch members, and anybody else with a soft spot for small block V-twins, will be our own John Waltham’s V65 C. Stand close and you can feel the warmth of that California sun - even if this particular machine came from Minnesota.
