In less than 3 weeks we are supposed to be on our way to Sardinia and Corsica on the bike. Today the MI light came on, then red urgent service light came on together with the bike in limp mode. I haven’t got a reader or the adapter cable (but will be getting them) or Guzzidiag.
Is there anyone within a shout of Garstang, Lancashire who can loan me something urgently - like tomorrow- so I can start fixing it. Please.
So far I’ve disconnected the battery for an hour or so - no joy, split the switches both sides and sprayed with contact cleaner, pulled the big plug from the dash and sprayed with cleaner. All to no avail.
It’s likely to be water ingress somewhere as I had earlier washed the bike after a 400 mile weekend away. It was running brilliantly over the weekend.
The other likely source is the throttle but I can’t immediately see how to split the housing. Some sort of weird screw / nut thing. Battery is on charge just in case. Oil is roughly middle of its range and is fresh.
OBD2 scanner and cable or guzxidiag to lend me anyone?
