V100 12v supply for a Garmin sat nav?

My lovely new V100 has a 5v USB port at the front as well as under the seat. But my ex BMW Motorrad Navigator V sat nav (Garmin) has a cradle that only accepts a 12 volt supply. I note there is an additional capped off port under the seat - does anyone know if this is an ignition-key switched 12v supply? If so I may be able to run a cable under the tank covers to the handlbar Quad Lock mount

The power supply to the usb socket in the front l/h fairing is 12V switched. Just splice into the lead that feeds it. And yes, similar applies to the rear socket as well.

Ah so that USB socket has the 5v regulator inside at that spot and not a 5v feed from the electronics elsewhere - makes sense, and yes I should then be able to simply splice into that 12v wiring. Thanks for this!

IIRC, when you follow the lead back to the Superseal connector, terminal 1 on the plug is +.

Thanks for that - I have now spliced in and the sat nav powers up when I turn the ignition key on. I’ve fitted the Garmin style cradle using a great mount from Evotech Performance
