V100 foglight wiring kit

Does anyone know what the foglight wiring kit consists of?

Seems rather expensive considering no lights or switch are in it

Hi

Sorry if this rambles a bit…

Due to the combined cost I hovered over whether to buy the V100 fog light kit and only bought it when both the lights and wiring kit were offered together and discounted at a dealer. That eventually happened so I got them.

Because it is a bespoke kit it was simple to fit. The lights have a place on the engine guards that are fitted and the wiring kit links the lights to the wiring harness under the seat. It is literally plug and play, the wiring kit has all of the connections that are necessary. The instructions show you what to do and which connections go where. What you get is an easy and convenient installation.

On a 1200 Sport I purchased a Ledperf fog light kit that fitted and worked well but with the V100 I wanted plug and play.

The only issue I found with the V100 installation was that the idea is to run the fog light wiring through the engine guards tubular structure. I couldn’t remove the hex head bolts that secured the guards so I ended up cable tying the fog light loom to the guards. Hopefully temporary.

Hope this helps

Cheers for that.

Don’t suppose you still have the instructions?

I do. I will scan and post them here in the next couple of days

Yes. It consists of a relay and 3 wire loom. PM me.

On the V100 Stelvio, same engine guard and spot lights (and wiring), there wasn’t any relay.

Fit the engine guard and lights, thread the wires through the guard and plug into the loom. Hay presto axillary lights.

If it’s the same as the Mandello, the relay is incorporated into the bit of “loom” that plugs into the bike’s superseal connector. Trust me, it is there.
