Is it just me being blind or dumb but is it actually possible to view the level of the expansion tank or even top up without removing bodywork panels?
I’ve been squinting down there between the top and bottom yokes both sides and can’t see diddly? “Doctor my eyes” (Jackson Brown fans!)
Hi, easy peasy, I use a cheap eBay plastic syringe. Top up with water and a little ribena for colour to see level. Using a led torch
Never heard of ribena being used for this. If you don’t want to share your soft drinks with your bike you can buy coolant dyes that are usually used for leak detection and show up with a cheap uv torch. They are safe to be left in the system. Ring do some.

Thanks for info…….sadly I had a major blow out on top the stelvio pass last week

Radiator cap let out a lot of coolant as we were high up in altitude and bike ridden in 1st and 2nd gear only.
Waited till it was cool, topped up header and off we went down mountain…. No further issues.
Need advice on this please for future problems

Thanks
Dave
Yep, had the LED light and still could not see squat! Guess it must be me? I can see the filler cap on the radiator but no expansion tank. Maybe have to take offf some bodywork so I can figure out where to direct my eyes.
Can’t make it any easier for you. And there’s the level on second photo

My excuse is I used o be a crash dummy!
Thank you! Must have been the angle of dangle on my LED?
hey! Like your first pic. Guess where I was couple weeks ago?

I take it ribena is now sugar free ?
I’ve put an egg into a coolant system with a minor leak in a car once, driving across Germany. fixed the problem
