V11 Sport

Get the connectors from

either

www.towzatronics.com club member Guzzi owner and real decent bloke worth phoning or e-mailing to get the correct parts

or http://www.polevolt.co.uk/ Towza was on hols when I needed a fuse box for the V11 it fitted easily and I used the org lid so it is the same part

or vehicle-wiring-products.eu have used these guys many times and they are also useful and helpful

The terminals will be I would guess a spade and they will have a wee tang to hold them into the block soooo a thin screwdriver down the back of the top end, BATTERY DISCONNECTED and it should come out then measure it and go get some, Maplins are also good for bits If it is a standard size I have some spade terminals in Brass and will pop some in the post IF i have the size bud.guzzibear2013-01-08 12:02:54

[QUOTE=mjseymo1] The middle would seem the most logical although when the wire is put in there the ECU fuse in the fuse box instantly blows which begs the question whether this was in fact right.

I meant the middle relay block, not middle terminal in the block. Sorry if that caused confusion. I’m not sure which terminal in the block it relates to without checking.

Found which one the wire had come out of (the third block) and have managed to get the old connector out but has anyone got any they can send me? Have already been to Maplins as suggested and various automotive places as well as even some vehicle wiring places online who haven’t replied. The connector is small but has an upward tang in it to locate it back in the block connector. Can anyone help? Some pictures here -

Many thanks in advance,

Martin

Not sure of the size mate but popped some in the post today should be with you Tues or Wed let me know if they are OK mate.

Thanks Guzzibear for being very helpful and sending some thorugh the post. Unfortunatly alhtough the connector fits the relay ok they are quite a bit bigger on the outside to fit into the plastic block connector. I don’t think I could file it down far enough to make fit. I’ve posted a photo of the old one and yours side by side

I could try a bigger maplins again or does anyone know of other specialist vehicle wiring stockists that might be able to help?

Cheers

Martin

Seems it needs to be more like something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180364003924?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Doubt Maplin etc. can help there, ergo I got these from eBay I’m assuming it’s for a normal 6mm blade, by the sound of it

These are the same, but don’t know if they sell the individual female connectors.

That looks like a standard spade connector, any half decent motor factors should do them in a variety of sizes or try Vehicle Wiring Products.

Sorry mate the only thing I can suggest buddy is measure the actual connector width and look for that specific one Contact club member and all round good guy Towza

www.towzatronics.co.uk

If you measure the terminals bet they are the 4.8mm ones

If not then look on this page they sell them in packs of 10, may as well get some other items while there tho’

I found they are the same brass connectors VW used in the 70s, all VAG dealerships had a repair kit with terminals and the special pliers for fitting.
I used to have the kit,but somewhere it has been lost/loaned/stolen…great shame as it cost a fortune but was so usefull.
