Help please. Can anyone explain how to detach the fuel hose connectors on my 2005 V11 injection.
I have tried to push the whole fitting further on the spigot which will then allow the collar to be pushed to release, however it would not move. I assume because it’s under pressure? I have squirted a bit of lube in there and will try again later.
I don’t want to be too forceful as whilst trying to find out the answer on various forums, only doom and disaster breakages were shown.
Alternatively do I just disconnect the hose from the couplings leaving them connected to the fuel pump.
Not an expert, but this has come up before - if memory serves, I believe you have to release the fuel pressure in the hose first - this is preventing the union being moved. I think the MO is, disconnect the fuel pump electric plug so it can’t run, then try to start the bike. The injectors will then open and release the pressure. Then you can push it rearward, so the collar can be released. I think that’s how it goes. There is, or was, a YouTube video about it. HTH
Thanks Mike, I thought it would be because they are under pressure. I’ve got my srmervice kit coming from Gutsibits so will have a proper look next weekend.
