The output shaft oil seal on my V50 needs replacement. Does this require a gearbox strip, or, is it possible to tackle this from the outside? Has anyone done this?
I guess you mean the layshaft seal ,which goes to the main drive shaft?
I would put a couple of self tapping screws into the seal, get some pliers and give it a pull.
Get a suitable diameter tube and drift the new one in.
