Continuing the discussion from New (old) member:
From what I have read, the V50 ii are very fussy about the setting up of the ignition pick ups and prone to failure of the wires to the same.

You are correct my friend, I’ve fitted four sets of pick ups and it still won’t rev over 4K.
Did it rev freely before you did the bottom end rebuild? What else did you change?
Have you fitted different carbs?
Have a look at the plug colour, does that tell you anything.
