On my recently bought Monza when spinning the engine over without plugs in, when I take my finger off the starter button there is a strange gurgling sound for a few seconds. Any ideas? Never heard anything like it before in my 45 years riding.
I think i have heard that on some engine, but cannot remember which 
Could be oil draining back out of a gallery?
Is the oil level ok?
Crank case pressure slowly emptying?
Could be yes, or possibly been overfilled. I’ll know tomorrow hopefully.
That gurgling noise has been perfectly normal on our V50 for decades. I spent ages trying to fix it and gave up in the end.
It doesn’t cause a problem and I now find it endearing.
I agree that it is probably due to the breather system.

Thanks for the replies. Everything appears to be in order, there is no oil leaking anywhere (although the oil level is bang on the upper limit. On my '22 V7 this is known to be an issue) Next oil change perhaps I won’t put so much in.
