V7 850 Classic wheel cleaner\polish

Morning Gang
Its getting a bit warmer and lighter in the mornings - light at the end of the winter tunnel hopefully.
Had a ride out on Sunday then cleaned the bike as it was caked in crude. The wheel rims are looking a bit dull. I dont want to start causing any surface damage by using someting caustic or even wire wool. Any recommedations for a good cleaner please?
cheers Jim

Morning JC. I was recommended this and have used it to bring back to life the wheels on a Honda Superdream I’m restoring. You can use it with a cloth or little buffer if you have one. Not had any scratches/marks etc.

Thanks Bazzer. I will give that a go.

Hi jc , I’ve always used Meguiar’s nxt generation all metal polish [ green lid ] , it seems to have a protective polish in it as well ! I’ve just done my v7 850 wheels which had a few brake dust corrosion marks which came out ok !

What type of wheels are we talking here.?
Paint, chrome, alloy.?
On my alloy bits (casings, levers etc) I use Autosol, usually applied with an old toothbrush then buffed.
On my painted parts and plastic, (engine, frame, alt cover, clock shroud etc) I use ACF50, applied variously with a sponge, brush, rag.
One Top-Tip if you have Matt Black exhausts, in the past I’ve used Zebo Dog Grate polish (plenty of other similar brands available) to good effect on those.
Again applied often with a toothbrush (saves stubbing ya fingers while trying to get in the nooks and crannies), then buffed with a rag. As it’s designed for fireplaces the finish last well even with the heat of an exhaust. :+1:

Hi Ducatiderek
Havent ordered anything yet need to look at options. Dont want numerous tubs and tins around the shed. Mrs C thinks I have too many anyway  Thanks for the reply

Hi KingOrry
Not sure what the wheels are made of - dont look like chrome. Its the first time i have had spoked wheels so want to make sure I keep them cleaned correctly. I may have some Autosol amongst all the Paraphernalia :upside_down_face: (must get this shed tidied). Like the idea of using a toothbrush. Thanks for the tips
