V7 850E5+ Vibes ??

I’m looking at buying the Special version of the above, and not yet had chance of a test ride, but I’ve noticed a few reports of vibration, has anyone experienced this ???

Not in an annoying or uncomfortable way, no.

Sure it shakes a bit, as you expect with that engine configuration. But I don’t notice high frequency vibes on the bars, seat or footpegs.

Before I bought the Guzzi I test rode a few bikes, including a brand new SV650 which was the one bike I did find too ‘vibey’.

For what it’s worth, in terms of comfort, I can ride for two and a half hours at a time and then need a little break as the legroom is on the tighter side. Seat cushioning is fine. I’m 5’10” with 33 inch inside leg.

I would advise you get a test ride and decide for yourself as they do have characterful engines and that’s what a lot of people like about them. If you’re coming from a Japanese 4 cylinder then the V7 may feel like it has some vibration but for me the engine is endearing, quite smooth in operation and not in any way intrusive. There’s a noticeable clank occasionally from the gear selector however this is a noise rather than feeling through the lever. I’ve heard the same noise from review bikes so my presumption is that’s just what it does. Gearbox operates normally. I haven’t ridden for hours on end, couple of hours at a time whilst running in, but no pins & needles in the appendages yet. Only you know what is acceptable for you.

Less of the buzzy numbing vibes you can get on 3 & 4 cyl bikes (or multistradas)

More of a rumble

I had a test ride, no vibes just a rumble and soooooo smooth at 70mph, so good i’ve bought one !!!

Hi, I bought the E5+ in December and thanks to the weather not had much opportunity to get out although I have managed over 200 miles so far.

My experience is there is a little vibration but it’s a V twin thumper so to be expected. Is it excessive, not in my opinion, it’s a beautiful ride all round to me.

I should say my other ride is a Velocette Venom Clubman. Now that vibrates :joy:

Take a test ride, you’ll love it.
