V7iii Centre stand nonsense

Evening all. Love my new (to me) 750cc V7iii, 2019 vintage, but hate its MG centre stand. Any bumps on a righthander (incl. roundabouts!) & the stand bottoms out to much consternation & swearing.
Basically, it needs to retract higher, but the combination of the folded stand bumpstop & the unkinked deployment arm means that if it retracted any further, the arm would foul the LH exhaust fat centre (cat) section. It’s pretty unusable as it is and needs removing or heating/rebending/rewelding and a new actuation arm.
So: 1. Has anyone junked their MG centre stand?
2. I like a centrestand, but without a chain to adjust, how vital is it?
3. Is the Hepco & Becker one any better?
At the moment, the straightening up & running wide to avoid the thudding & graunching is giving me a migraine.
Cheers, Matt

-and as soon as I posted that, a whole load more stuff popped up that I’d missed with the initial forum search🤷🏻
The SteinDense paddock stand job looks better for €89, but in the close up pic, it looks like it pivots on a fulcrum that gets replaced/lost if the centre stand is fitted & wont then work if the centre stand’s removed with no fulcrum bar to fit in its place…

Idiot. Fingers running ahead- it’s using the frame Xmember as the fulcrum.
Sooo- H&B centre stand, modify MG centre stand, bin the centre stand & get the Stein-Dinse paddock stand?
Thanks for everyone’s patience. Matt

My V7 is an older, 2010 version, but even two-up it’s not been an issue for me.?
Maybe I’m riding too slowly

Gasmatt. I have a Stein Dinse stand I no longer need. It’s in excellent condition and can be yours for much less than a brand new one. Message me if you’re interested

Hi. V interested! I’m down in Basingstoke on xxxxxxxxxx. Many thanks, Matt

It is not a good idea to put your telephone number on a public forum unless you like being called at silly o’clock by unknown bots and trolls. Better to use the PM system.

I would suggest that you edit your post and send your number to the member using the private message system (PM) If you need any help please let me know.

Best wishes Chris

I’ve texted you

Matt, I have edited it for you. Chris

Thanks Chris- I sent the original message back to Cavey on my phone: I thought it was a PM, didn’t realise I dropped my drawers in public!
Anyway- there’s a Stein Dinse V7 paddock stand on its way to Basingstoke, given a fair wind…
