V85 2023 idling hiccup

My 2023 model v85 has an an idling hiccup. Every few seconds the revs dip then rise. I asked the dealer to check and £90 later am told they all do that. Is this true?

I also get and indicated 52mpg riding fairly average. Is this average I was expecting 62mpg.

My ‘22 model does exactly the same, although it improves noticeably once the engine is properly warmed up. My partner’s ‘21 model is the same.

how many miles has the engine covered ?
how much do you weight ?
how tall are you
all of these things affect fuel consumption
also supermarket petrol can lower your mpg

1,500 miles
75kg
5ft7 inches

Tried using Premium fuel from Esso and Shell

Not the fastest rider

I have not noticed the stutter, most engines flutter when warming up on the fast idle. The Moto Guzzi app gives the average fuel consumption as 58 MPG, the Road Trip app gives me an average of 61 MPG. I have done 1857 miles. I have used e10 and e5 fuels from both Esso and Shell. Road Trip shows Esso e10 average at 56.7MPG , Esso e5 average at 60 MPG and Shell ultimate e5 at 65.8 MPG. Try sticking to one brand for a few tanks and measure the average.

they dont all do that, piaggio are aware of it and advised dealers to sleeve a sensor wire under the tank which stops it happening.

free fix if under warranty.

the engine is still very tight, it will need to do at least 6 to 8 K too loosen up properly, dont forget they are hand built, unlike japanese motorcycles
your weight and height are minimal so should not affect economy, dont forget they need to be revved hard and used to take the tightness out of them, my Breva took nearly 8k to loosen up, at first I nannied it too much, but then from advice from a test rider, I revved the nuts of it

What sidthedid said above.
It is known to MG & they have issued “TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION G_210293_TC_EN 12/03/2021” about this irregular idle prob on e5 bikes
Due to US laws available to the public here

I have installed UpMap for a standard bike with no mods.

The bike pulls better and the low revs hesitation has gone, although is still an occasional hiccup when idling warm or cold.
The fuel consumption is around 47mpg down from 52mpg measured using the display and this is mixed riding with no luggage or passenger at normal speeds and a light rider with premium fuel. Now at 1,600 miles.
