This turns and will not tighten or loosen. Is this ok?
It is the wheel spindle and tightens against a nut on the other side of the swing arm.
It should not be loose!
have you had a tyre changed recently?
Yes I had a puncture repaired.
I will tighten it
Thanks
26mm socket for the nut on left side. Should be torqued up to about 150Nm from memory, but that always seems a bit much! Best check the manual.
Thanks
Took me ages to find the torque from the manual is100nm. You’re correct 26 mm socket and 10mm Allen key. Only had the bike a few months so finding my way around it. Lots of mods
Screen, seat, engine bars, rear carrier, lowered by removing rear shock preload which I am not sure whether to get a proper short replacement . Velocity stack, remap (worthwhile). Topped up gearbox oil and changed other oils twice as part of running in. Stopped idle hiccup with MG recommended wiring relocation.
Only continuing disappointment apart from poor and expensive dealer is fuel consumption has always been poorer than expected generally in low 50’s, while for other bikes I have had better mpg than most people get.
Is that mpg from display or calculated after topping up. My display says low 50s, but it is actually doing low 60s - unless constantly doing 70 mph plus
I ride mine quite hard and the average (measured) over 3000miles is 59mpg (UK gallons).
I am on the original Guzzi map and no engine mods
Fuel consumption seems a little bit (2-3%) worse on cruise control and a little bit better (and quieter) with no screen
Just for reference, same as the new V7 850’s then, and I had to buy a 26mm socket especially. You can’t use a spanner because the nut is recessed into the swingarm.
