Hi has anyone experienced problems with running when hot. We have had 2 occasions in the past 2 weeks when the bike being hot (in traffic). As soon as we accelerate under load the engine knocks. I am using e95 fuel as advised .
Not sure if it will help but I always use Esso Synergy Supreme 98 and do my utmost to ensure that nothing else its used. I higher RON will ensure better fuel stability in extreme conditions and there is no Ethanol in the Supreme version, which also includes better engine cleaners to reduce carbon deposits. You could also try adding some SeaFoam to each tank full - 100ml in a tank full will be fine, I add this frequently to my bikes and occasionally to my cars. It helps them run smoother and diesels quieter.
Is your question about E5 (which is usually 97-99 octane) or 95 octane, which is usually E10 with 10% ethanol content?
I used to use Shell V-Power but had some problems in hot weather and I found out that they changed the formulation. As with Paul, my preferred fuel is now Esso Synergy Supreme.

i use 97 octane in mine, occasionally pulling away there is a knock which is cured by using more throttle next time
My 2019 E4 did that, until it had an ECU map update.
Hi Simon. Was that done by your dealer.
Yes, it was a standard update, and cured the issue.
Thanks I will contact my local dealer.
