V85TT E5 model screen mounted satnav bracket

I am aware of a chap in Greece who makes a bracket that attaches to the lever that raises and lowers the screen but he is out of stock. Does anyone know of an alternative bracket, please? The pre 2024 devices dont work as the screen attachment is different from E5 onwards.

I looked around a lot and couldn’t find anything else. I bought one of the ones from Greece, it doesn’t attach to the lever, it replaces the entire handle and ratchet part.

yes, I gathered that. What is your assessment of the product, please!

Hi,

I use an Evotech Quad Lock handle bar mount. Not cheap, but excellent build quality.

Thank you. I have one similar from SW Motech. I want to mount the satnav above the dashboard.

It’s very nicely made - but I haven’t fitted it yet. I’ve only room for one (working) bike at home and I’ve had my old BMW out since the weather improved and my Guzzi is down at the storage facility. I’ll swap them over soon and then I can fit it.

Like you, I wanted to fit a screen above the dashboard. I’ve got a quadlock mount on my bars, but in order for the phone not to foul my tankbag (when fitted), not obstruct the dash and not get in the way of the ignition lock I’ve got it out to one side.

Maybe I can give some more useful information now. First a couple of pictures

And some numbers.

The bar is 12mm in diameter and 93mm long.

The distance from the centre of the top mounting holes to the centre of the bar is approximatelty 60mm (difficult to measure because of the shape). The centre of the bar is about/roughly 33mm behind the back of the top mount.

Those last two numbers probablty aren’t really useful as it’s going to be slanted when it’s in place.

When I’ve installed it I’ll take some more pictures and hopefully be able to work out how much space is left between the bar and the top of the dash.

Thank you very much. I would appreciate that. It looks like a well make piece of kit. I shall be mounting a 6” garmin xt2.

I finally went and got my Guzzi out (in my defence yeronner I was enjoying riding my other bike too much), and put the bracket on….

The bar sits at the same height as the original handle.

I had intended to put a screen on, mine is 5.5”, and I think it will fit and not obscure the the dash with the screen in its lowest position, but like the fool that I am I didn’t check the bolts for the screen mount, just saw that they looked like allen screws. Which they are, but with a pin so that they need a special key, which of course I didn’t have with me! I also hadn’t taken a lid with me, so I couldn’t ride home and get it, but I’ll go and fit it this week - now I just have to remember to take a phone with me to photograph itl.
