I need to touch up some rust spots on the swingarm and so trying to find some suitable paint. Although being powder coated I think I probably need to repaint it. Wondering if Hammerite Ultima Matt black might work. Any tips?
I’ve done footpegs with hammerite, I used hammerite “special metals primer” first because it’s recommended for alloy. this is red so shows up any scrapes later on, I’ve already had some scrapes and the black came off but not the primer.
the hammerite I used had a gloss finish which I don’t think matches the bike, your suggestion probably will look better.
On my bike I use satin black, I think gloss black is too bling for a 1974 bike!
It’s all down to your own taste.
