I am thinking about a new end can for the bike, something with a bit more grunt than stock, looking at the Mistral X Trail, anyone had one? What’s the sound like? any other makes recommended?
Cheers

I have mistral conical “silencer", it’s a vast improvement in the stock item.
Does it sound like it does in the clip in reality? it sounde better with the db Killer in
yes it sounds like that, better in fact.
I have left the db killer in.
if you find “wingsgeo" on youtube, he had a v85tt and I rhink agostini end can but maybe mistral pipes, he has a few videos of him riding it
Yes I used to watch Wingsgeo a lot, he got the V100 also if I remember correctly. I assume no mapping needed post change? Thanks for the help
Much Appreciated
no remap needed but I did add the mistral booster plug which also improves the lower rpm.
I assume yours is the Euro 5 version ? Prior to the Euro 5+ ? So on the whole a worthy investment? The stock exhaust sounds ok when you open the bike up a bit, it’s a bit feeble otherwise, now I have owned a Harley and I don’t want that constant carcophony of noise, it gave me a headache, just a nicer sounding exhaust so I can hear that twin sound.
2021, e5. its quiet enough at 3k rpm and only gets fruity when you want it to, totally fine burbling through town, doesn’t annoy the neighbours in the morning etc.
I had the mistral pipes/cat delete on for a few months with the stock end can and the performance increase was nice, but it didnt sound good. the mistral silencer hasn’t changed the performance, just made it sound good.
the cat delete, velocity stack and booster plug all do improve how it runs, lower rpm torque, better run on, better pick up/throttle response (the modes actually work now, they didn’t do much with the cat still fitted).
I might go for the header pipes later but for now I just want a better sound. I am happy with the power output and I’m a big bloke so from a performance point of view I’m happy.
with the e5 bikes most of the sound reduction takes place in the header pipes as these are full of foam almost up to the lambda sensors.
Apparently it won’t work with the Euro5+ according to Mistral. But thanks for the offer, did it improve the sound much?
Sill worth just getting the can do you think?
I have the GPR titanium on mine 3.5kg lighter no issues sounds great
I am wondering if changing the header pipes and using the original can is an option, if most of the sound reductiojn and flow constriction is in the headers, anyone have any thoughts?
I have a 2 into one on mine (mostly for looks and so i can change gearbox oil).
But that means no collector box, it’s a bit noisier but not enough to annoy the neighbours
If it’s just an improvement in sound I want, I am utterly confused whether to go for the slip on can or the header pipes, can’t afford both at the mo, well I can but it would be deliterious to domestic bliss
I did that first, performance increase but it didn’t sound good.
