Bike new to me, are the tail lights supposed to on permanently on when ignition is turned on, as DRL eagle light?

Yup - just checked mine and both front and tail lights are on when the ignition is on.

Be aware that the number plate light is only illuminated when the main headlight is on, NOT on when DRL is on. Well that’s how it works on my 2019 and it confuses the MoT inspector.
