Has anyone fitted a decat and Y pipe to the 2024 Euro5+ version ?
It seems to run fairly well already, but it is currently cold outside, it certainly feels fairly stifled at the upper end of the rev range in comparison with my Bellagio.
I am not sure of the purpose of the bash bits stuck on the side of the downpipes other than to cover up the mess of different size welded pipes, I can’t imagine them offering any protection, so looks like an area for weight saving. Also wondering if the tubular rack from the earlier versions would fit to replace the cast aluminium non-rack on this new version, I’m sure it is just a styling exercise but is useless as a rack.

I am also considering a Y pipe for looks, gearbox oil changes and weight saving.
Only problem is i live in the city with nice neighbours so i don’t want more sound.
I am not sure, but there are quite a few available for the E5 version but don’t believe the E5+ version is the same. I understand that it isn’t much louder if you just remove the cat etc but retain the original silencer.
I have an E5 bike and the y piece made a big improvement with the other mods. I piut the standard silencer back on and i dont thinks its to loud.It was a little fruity with the storm silencer but not in anyway offencive.
I went for the Chinese item as it came in at a great price delivered. The quality is pretty good and looks in keeping. But i think all the mods need to done to really make it worth while.

they are fairly quiet, especially at low rpm.
i had someone film me riding past flat out and it still wasn’t that loud compared to how it sounds on the bike.
the original ‘silencer’ doesn’t do very much, you can remove it and just run the cat and it isn’t louder
thats a better place for the sensors, keeps some of the crud off them than the usual location
Anyone know if the exhausts would fit from the E5 version (2021-2023) on the E5+ (2024) version, as the chinese (Ali-Express I assume) are a good price. I can’t imagine the manifold to silencer dimensions would have changed, but they did change many of the other bits though, such as the rear rack and headlight mounts from tubular to cast aluminium (which presumably breaks in a fall)
Hi @Temp5848MB. Having just returned from a ride on my 2023 E5 V85tt which is new to me, on a very nice hot and sunny day, I have decided to decat my bike. Much against my principles but due to cost I have decided to go with one sourcedfrom China. I like the look of the one you fitted partly due to the repositioned lamda sensor probes. Would you be able to tell me where they were ordered from, and whether you encountered any problems fitting them, as none of the ones I can find have the sensor probes positioned like your photos show.
Hi i am thinking about selling my decat and storm end can. The pipes fit easily but the mount underneath has no bushing unlike the standard cat. This is easily overcome by making a spacer out off a piece of pipe or nut. I fitted 2 extra clamps on it as i believe they hold the pipes better.It did run a lot cooler with this set up.
Im only sell them as i am thinking of trading it on a new Strlvio.

Mistral decat pipes for the V85 Euro5+ are still under development and they are unable to say when they will come onto the market. I have managed to source some Agostini pipes for the Euro5+ which are manufactured by Agostini. Still awaiting delivery .
