Hi all I got a 2016 v9 bobber with charging issues I replaced the stator and all was fine I got back from a ride out after fitting it and checked the battery again and it was down past 12 v was wondering if anyone else had any problems with there set up

What does the meter say with the engine running, and at higher revs than idle?

When I changed the stator I checked it and it read 14.6 at around 5000rpm happy days I thought I fixed it
Took it out for an hour and checked it when I got back it was only reading 11.85 at idle and just over 12 at 5000 rpm I checked it again this morning a little better so I put a fully charged battery on the bike and it was reading about 13.6 13.8 at 5000 rpm
Either both stators are faulty, or it’s something else. What about rectifier & regulator, and wiring?

It’s all that’s left to do is change that out I’ve just ordered another one up should be here in day or 2
Just trying to find out how common it is with the v9s to suffer charging issues
Really enjoy riding it though handles well I’ve just done my advanced riding course on it it’s been perfect for the job low centre of gravity and low seat height what more do you need
