I have 1996 1100i and have had the guides k lined plus new valves. I need to set the shims for the valve spring fitted height. Does anybody know the spec for an 1100?
There is a 1100i workshop manual which details spring lengths/heights and tension.
For what its worth I went through this recently and found the spring tensions varied significantly and the factory shimming seemed somewhat random.
I can’t find the link to the manual I used but when I get home I’ll have another look.

Thank you, I have been unable to find the spring fitted height Spec in any info I have
Update, found an evoline 1100 manual that specs 35.7 to 36mm, put new valve in with previous shims and measured 36mm, I think I can go with that.

Thank you, the same as what I saw in an evoline 1100 manual. I fitted a new valve and the previous used shims and it measures 36mm. Job done, thanks again.
