Water leak from hose connection. V100S

As the chuckles from ALL previous air-cooled MG owners subsides, I wondered if anyone with a V100 has noticed a small coolant leak from a hose connection to the top manifold. I noticed it on a cold day after starting the machine up. I haven’t fully investigated yet so don’t know if its a loose jubilee or something else more ‘annoying’. Fluid level hasn’t gone down too far yet but I haven’t ridden out on it till I take a closer look (loss of all fluid will not be fun!). I struggled a bit with the pictures, coolant in pink, but have added the manual schematic and where i think the leak has emerged.
Any thoughts would be welcome, thank you.

Hi StuMac, my Mandello had a couple of leaks which the dealers sorted under warranty, though it did take two visits and a lot of stripping down to find the second one.

Watch out for leaks where the hose attaches to the top of the radiator using a rather flimsy clamp. Some of the clamps on the coolant system are ones that you just squeeze with your finger and thumb rather than ones you tighten with a grub screw and to my mind they’re just a bit suspect.

After all the palaver the bike still uses a very small amount of coolant….possibly 100ml per 1,000 miles. I’m not sure where it’s going, but there’s no more pink appearing on the bike or under it whilst at standstill that I can see.

Prior to the fix, on one unforgettable ride, coolant was dripping out over the engine casing, the tyres and the floor at low speed on my way out of a cafe….nearly VERY unpleasant!

Thanks Manalishi for your helpful reply. Sorry to hear of your gripes too, poor show if safety is compromised. Your reply is especially helpful as the leak I think I can see may also be originating elsewhere. I’ll progress with caution! It is such a tight area to work on; the manual suggesting quite a bit of dismantling to get full access. Thank you, most helpful.

Which sounds totally nuts - I was going to say, most obvious question, what are the hose joints like…
