Welcome to the V85TT Section

Hi,

Seeing that the V85TT is such a success, I thought we need a section for it.

Firstly, hopefully without pushing you away from this Forum I would like to mention that there is a V85TT Facebook group, which seems to be quite good.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/GuzziV85/

I used to spend a lot of time on forums but tens to just use Facebook now. It’s more immediate and simpler. But I will try to remember to pop in here.

This is handy to know.

Hurrah! maybe we’ll be the new Bellagio banter!

Tumbleweed!

They are all out enjoying their new bikes!

As above, I tend to use Facebook rather than forums now but just popped over to see if the local branch was starting to organise anything. The club and V85TT Facebook groups are both good.
Got my V85TT on February 13th, done over 3000 miles since then as I’m a keyworker and it’s my fault ride.
Currently in the shop having a decat pipe and v twin boost put on. Hopefully be able to collect later.

I don’t know if this is any use to V85TT owners, I’ve just fitted an inner front mudguard to my V85TT Travel, it’s an Aprilia part number 2B001431 and it cost less than £40, works well with the standard Michelin Anakee tyres, keeps a lot of dirt off the engine

My hubby has done the same thing and is very pleased with it!

It was after reading Peter’s report on the v85tt that inspired me to buy one, the Cali was getting too heavy for two up fully loaded touring, After many weeks of deliberation wether to sell the Cali and go for the Travel version, a solution was found , Keep the Cali, spend the kids inheritance money and buy the V85tt Travel.

Excellent solution. One Guzzi is never enough

And they breed in the garage as well

Cheers Uki

PS. Peter loves his V85, especially here on the mountain roads. I’m afraid it was a swop for us as there are 4 more Guzzis in thew garage - I told you they breed.

Yep, great to have a specific V85TT section on the Forum. I’m a newbie on here, came off Facebook last year after becoming fed up of all the b******t associated with it.
Purchased my 2019 V85 in early July and love its retro style.
Cheers

Not sure if this is normal or not ( so comments welcome!) but does anyone find their V85 is a little ‘lumpy’ at lower revs especially when cold?

Mine had a surge problem when new, I read in the club magazine what the fix was and went and told the dealer, who checked with Piaggio who confirmed it.

It’s a sensor wire picking up curent from other wires it shouldn’t. The wire gets sleeved and it stops the problem. It was only really annoying going around roundabouts at tickover, because the surge wobbled the bike to the right.

Not sure if this is the same thing affecing your bike but if your’re not sure might be worth investigating.
