What did you do with your Guzzi today ? 2019 .......

but was told by Guzzi they are no longer available… He was astounded as I was, the bike is less than four years old …!!! Guzzi couldn’t care less.!!! …

Ridiculous. :open_mouth:

Hello Roger

Unfortunately, nothing further to add yet, as I’ve yet to get out on the Stelvio since my post. Fo a very good review you could look at Rally Jake’s post in the CARC thread on Stelvio NTX suspension upgrade.
I did consider the Maxton option, and it certainly did look good, but it was going to cost approaching double the price of the Andreani cartridges; as was Matris as well.
I doubt you will be disappointed with the Maxton upgrade.

David

Took the little Stornello out for a ride to the Naseby battlefield site. Coolest bike on the hottest day.

Lovely pic

Going to Delhi and then the States. No fettling or riding for me a for a month.

Fast ride to Brentwood and back yesterday on the Stelvio, the exhaust is blowing, makes me sound like a teenager again! The A12 is so boring…

Get to see a lot of bikes on my daily commute out here. Mostly Honda Heroes - mostly with what looks like a Cub motor - c. 110 cc. Enfields only very occasionally. Lots of those little tuc-tuc three wheeler taxi things. They seem to be able to fit up to around 12 people in them. Glad I’m not driving or riding out here.

Little ride out around Hertfordshire with BikeStop in Old Stevenage.
They organise these to happen usually on the first Sunday of the month …

1000s, Durham up Weardale to Alston, out to Hartside cafe, (still a burned out shell), buttie trailer on car park shut…B#gger, back down through Garrigill, Middleton in teesdale, Durham,
Cracking

Finally got round to washing the Norge after my 2 week trip to the Simmer Dim in Shetland and round Ireland, also replaced a headlight bulb. Bike performed well the whole trip of 2,664 miles, used around 700 cc of oil, lost 1 fairing screw, one headlight bulb, and also one of the dust scrapers on the left hand fork leg is damaged (which is pain). Got around 55 mpg, with regular 260 miles per tank. Some of the roads in Ireland are well bumpy, I was out of the seat several times, and once managed to scrape the centre stand at 60 mph on a straight road! Might have to saw a bit more off the stop!

Could have spent a lot more time in Ireland, it was heaven.

I know Garrigill! Got lost there once. Ended up on a dead end that was basically just a farm track. Turned round at the end (a farm gate), then had to follow a bunch of sheep being taken from one field to another. Took absolutely forever. The rest of the day went downhill from there.

To be fair most things are downhill from there,
(apart from Nenthead)

That wasted a lot of time. I was coming from Haltwhistle, back to Essex (supposed to be). Sure it was the same trip when weather was very hot and the Guzzi just pinked whenever I opened the throttle on the A1(M). Wouldn’t do 80, then wouldn’t do 70, then wouldn’t do 60. Had to stop in a Little Chef and find some shade to put it in to cool down. Another 45 minutes added to the journey time. Ran out of time near Sherwood Forest so camped overnight.

Just back from a MAG rally in beautiful Welsh west Wales .
Met up with Powis Paul ,V7 John and another couple of Guzzi owners . One of them has promised to visit the summer camp next week with a bike that certainly will be a talking point . I think he must get his m.o.t.'s through bribery.
Cheers.

Rode 150 miles to Sammy Miller museum in Dorset for Italian Bike Day on Saturday - several nice Guzzis there including Stelvio, California, another V85, 1100 Sport and several V7 II/III. Museum very interesting with hundreds old bikes - several Guzzis including 8 cylinder!
Bike went well 2 up with Top Box, nice ride down A264/A272 but motorways round Southampton horrible
Multi Media platform showing turn by turn directions worked well and is a useful accessory. Cruise control is welcome addition but now my Stelvio sadly must be sold.

Great weekend at Mallory Park for VMCC Festival of 1000 Bikes.
Up to 20 Guzzis on and around the club stand at one point.
Chinese meal cemented its place in the events history.
Plenty of Guzzis on track too.
Now to repack for the forthcoming Summer Camp at Lydbury North in sunny Shropshire.
Making for a great summer.
Steve

Grand weekend at MGCGB Summer Camp in Shropshire.
Mixed weather conditions but hey if you want to be dry use the car!
Great venue and a good crowd of people on a variety of bikes.
Next step…GuzziFest. Who’s going?
Steve

Fitted a new (to me) screen to the Cali 3 to try and get rid of the head shaking turbulence - Reasonably successful. If I sit upright then the buffeting goes away, if I lean back and slouch then the helmet catches the wind and shakes.
A bit of perfecting required, but definitely an improvement on the standard Guzzi barn door.

I’ll be there.
Summer camp was very pleasant. Great trip to the National Spaceguard centre near Knighton organised by Serena, it was fascinating.

Just started the Lemon for the first time in a few months, first press, so it’s off to Calne bike day in the morning.

The Norge has done about 6000 miles in the last 3 months so it gets a rest this weekend.
