What did you do with your Guzzi today ? 2020 .......

Pushed Jug back off the table and tested the winch. Worked OK though the remote control is not on a long enough lead so required a little helper. Cable now ordered to extend that, but looking good.

Jug front wheel will come out this weekend if the weather is not so good.

Today is the say my SP1000 should arrive. Excited ? Much ???

I’ve been giving mine a clean and sort out and keep thinking about the pictures you posted. I can’t get it anything like that one.

Excellent.

Being loaded up………

Pumped the tyres up, 14 rear 17 front, to the recommended pressures and ride it 10 miles to work.
An interesting introduction to the new bike, doesn’t have the “go” of my previous LM’s, but a nice enough ride.
Indicator circuit still live with the keys out, so needs investigation but other than that yeah, pretty much what I expected.

If it’s a Spada, the indicators should be on battery feed, so the hazard lights work. Maybe is same on others too.

Yes, they’re wired like that for the hazards. Now who wants a bike where the battery can be flattened by any passer by fooling with the switch gear? I had the same thing on Blue and found the fuse position for the indicators to be always live. It was easy to put this onto the switched side.

Are you sure? :astonished: I remember something like 29 front - 33 rear … or is it 34 …

That’s psi of course

Is somebody thinking psi , (pounds per square inch )… and somebody else talking in bar, ( atmospheres ) one atmosphere (1 bar), being as near as dammit 14.5 psi … Regards, Tony

Nearly finished the Cali. Pop rivet gun arrived so I fitted the front extension the the rear mudguard fashioned out of a piece of reflector from a flourescent light.
Refitted the mudguard and pannier frames.
Noticed the rear wheel bearings have a tiny bit of play in them, so better order up some replacements Am I right thinking 6203RS?
Need to look at the ignition switch wiring as the side lights don’t go out when I turn the ignition off. Must have got the wires mixed up when I redid the dash a year ago or so.
The list of little jobs to do seems to be never ending!

I’m think 14 and 17 were the pressures before they were inflated to the correct pressure.

Put the panniers on, went to the supermarket & took a very long way home!

Oafski got it right, they were down to that before I pumped them up.

Can’t confirm the size but I always go with 2RS.

Note - I always go with rubber seals. First time in many bikes I’ve bought I’ve found metal shields in there. What’s that all about?

Thanks for the reply. I looked it up on This old Tractor and it’s 6204-2RS1 with the 2 rubber seals. Order placed
Still waiting on new brake lines for the Spada to arrive, so I might have to move onto the next job of painting the garage doors. :frowning:

AH!! Thanks muchly.

One step forward and two steps back with the Cali. I needed to bleed the rear brake caliper as I discoonected the line when removing the swing arm and found the master cylinder was barely working so a repair kit on order.
Spent ages studying the wiring fuses etc and diagram to work out why the pilot lights etc don’t turn off when you turn the key off. Came to the conclusion it must be the way a previous owner has wired up the replacement right hand switch so it will probably stay as it is for a bit longer.

Possibly wired to the wrong fuse? The supply for the lights should be from fuse F4 (red wire) the parking lights is fuse F3 (red/black wire) or possibly wired direct from the battery (via a fuse of course!) Is it a later switch?
Best of luck tracing it Don, please keep us informed

The pilot lights etc should go through fuse 3 with a green wire fed from the ignition switch terminal 16 that comes live on both normal ignition and park position. It seems to be picking up a stray permanent live feed somewhere in the system. The right hand switch has been changed by a previous owner. It was originally fitted with a Magura switch, interestingly the same switch as my Harris Bonneville of the same year. I suspect there is a crossed wire in the switch wiring somewhere. It will be a puzzle to sort it out.
