What did you do with your Guzzi today ? .......

I started to re-install my Le Mans 2 electrics , routing the harness and rejoining wiring, should have took photos, very much trial and error before the cable ties are brought into use. Found a good colour coded diagram online but would be nice to have some photos.

Took the bike out over the most varied selection of roads I could find in Hants and Sussex. Flies and cobwebs well shaken out of both the bike and me after a winter under wraps. Reminded that not all the numbnuts are confined to four wheels. There were a lot of bikes on the roads today.

Rode it , had bacon sandwich and rode it more

Who was outside the Duke of Welly at east Horsley earlier? Two cracking Guzzis as I went past.

got the breva out of the garage, put my gear on to ride to the oxford section meet, bloody thing refused to start !!! not even pump noise no starter relay noisechecked all the fuses had the battery out all okgave up pushed it back in out of the sun, dog came racing through and knocked my helmet over chipping the chin bar and visor !! oh well its five years oldwandered out later and noticed the little switch marked with a circle and a cross throughit ?? never used it, flicked it over and the bugger startedoh well, only owned it ten years !!!

What with one thing and another I hadn’t ridden since getting back from the V-twin last year! I’ve built a new garage/workshop and fitted it out between bouts of illness.Pulled the old S3 out, put wind in the tyres and went for a ridey round. Was so good to be back on 2 wheels. I’d forgotten the rev counter cable broke on the way back from the summer camp.Called in at Aldi in Cardigan and bought a pair of their el cheapo riding boots. They’ll do me at £30.

Thats the spirit John dont let em beat you…just born to ride.

Need to put mine on charge but keep forgetting. So put the charger on top of the freezer to remind me tomorrow morning. Bluddy iPhone reminder won’t… well sometimes … should have done it 2 weeks ago now… Would have done it yesterday and then today but the socket for the outside extension was otherwise engaged both times.

Looked like I might not get enough time for a ride in the glorious weather this weekend; but then an hour opened up this afternoon - wonderful, and the new front tyre and rear hugger worked beautifully. Only frustration was finding what look like the new balance weights that were meant to be on the front wheel lying on the garage floor when I got back, and realising that the person who fitted the new front tyre forgot to put the valve cap back on; thankfully I had a spare. At least the dash didn’t mist at all - that’s the first ride without any misting since the autumn.

Took the Spada out for a run around the lanes of Northanpronshire. First time out since the VMCC Boxing day run. Good to blow the cobwebs away. Made a nice change from painting the little one, the garage is covered in a fine red dust!

would have been rude not to take a bike out over the weekend …went to Butron Fri eve on the V11 then out Sat on the V1000 and again today on the v1000 …looks like next week is gonna be fine too ya haaaayyyy

All our bikes are usually covered in overspray of one colour or another !
Painted the fluorescent/ glow in the dark panel on me green un and fitted the old V7 rocker covers…
Nipped up to hanley on me zedder for some shopping and got chatting to a young man with a bright orange Cagiva 125…the hoops the young have to jump thro these days to get to ride bikes…I remember my test…
" Right young lady, I want you to keep riding round the block, first left at every junction and when you see me drop my clipboard, thats when you do your emergency stop…"
Them were the days…guykate2014-03-10 06:56:15
