Hi, Phil. How have you fitted the full handlebar set as opposed to the clip ons, do you use an alternative top yoke?
Same top yoke, enlarged the clock bracket holes, triumph “p” clamps and triumph uk spec bars, 11mm spacers, I think that a bit of relieving of the underside was needed for the nuts to sit flush, (did it about 25yrs ago)

I’d been wondering how to improve the comfort on my MK5 1000. The yokes have different fork centre measurements to anything else so I was heading down the manufactured top yoke or the Tarozzi raised clip on bracket route. Your answer is another option though.
Took a little soirée to the seaside today to watch the Sandracing at Mablethorpe.
It’s usually Baltic stood watching, but not today, there were lotsa folk who’d turned up on bikes
Got round to fitting the headlight protector and screen. The protector as I like how it looks and the screen as I’d forgotten how much I didn’t like an unfaired bike last time I went out. Ok in Spain. Not here . Ali express and I am so impressed with the screen quality. The thickness I’d become used to in all my screens and easy to fit. Not ridden yet so I may have to eat my words at some point but looks good for now
.
Perhaps not what I’ve done to my Guzzi today, but what my lovely wife got me as a Christmas present for when I’m ready to put the electronic ignition pickup up on- a nice garage mat to put by the hydraulic bike lift
That’s brilliant mate. I need one now .
Nice, but if you’d used it as a table runner on Christmas Day I’d really have been impressed
Worlds biggest bar runner!
Looks like a piece of art you could hang on a wall
(I’ve seen plenty of others with far more painful access too.!).
What did I do with my Guzzi today? Sat on it, switched it on - then remembered I sorned it
Moto Guzzi Kent Branch monthly meet - this was on the 28th December on a Foggy day - had lunch. 13 Guzzi’s turned up and 17 members some came by car.
Hi Phil what was the mileage when you changed the chain and tensioner - what is your model.
40 odd thousand miles,
(cable has gone a few times so can’t be sure of actual mileage)
1000s
Phil,
Interested in how you did the change as the new chain has a split link rather than being continuous. Was the original endless chain and tensioner still fitted and if so were you able to split the original chain and remove the tensioner and then fit the replacements without removing the sprockets?
Took the lot off , bought a Mercedes v8 cam chain, (you get 2 guzzi length +)
used the split link that came with the chain, thinking if it’s good enough for Mr Mercedes-Benz it’s good enough for me…
Fitted the split link and put it back together as you would an endless chain
