What did you do with your Moto Guzzi today? 2024

Hi Jeremy . Wow don’t time fly . You came to Bristol to borrow some camping gear and we rode to a rally at Lydney . Hope you’re doing well . Cheers.

Unfortunately.

I might be able to beat that - where I used to live in Essex, an end bungalow closest to the A127 where it crosses the A176 was half demolished by a BMW that took off from the flyover and ended up embedded in their end wall. The owners got it repaired, but wanted to move afterwards. I wonder why.

Just put the Stelvio on SORN, I’ve decided to keep it off the road until the weather is warmer and the road surface is less salty!

Planning a few days away on the bikes with an old friend, so took advantage of the dry weather to get the Goose out to give her the once over, somewhere along the line a quick once over became a three hour clean, wax and winterisation session, then the new footpegs went on and now I am faced with the very real prospect of having it all to do again when we get back! :joy::rofl::joy::rofl:!

Got it dirty…brief run to the shop…(oops ! Is that alowed ?..as my last post was for some reason removed…)…its ok to mention actually using a bike as transportation…l assume…strange…its hardly worth paying a subscription if my opinions are to be disallowed…:rofl:

They are gorgeous bikes, IMHO one of the pinnacles of Guzzi’s history. The 1200 8V has so much top end grunt compared to the 1100 2 valve head motor. I’ve had mine for 11 years and it puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. The Griso Ghetto is a great resource, and Pete Roper is the guru. Enjoy

The last pics are brilliant. The bikes all look fab. Mick, you could eat your dinner off your bike. I feel your pain about having to use it. :grinning:

:joy: I can’t wait to get out on her again Bazzer lol. Bloody things should carry a Government Health Warning. Maybe something like;

SMOKING KILLS,
RIDING THRILLS!

I gave up smoking about 20 years ago, I will never give up riding.

Haha I know. I have the usual age related hand and knee issues these days. My wife said to me the other week, ‘when do you think you’ll stop riding?’ I told her when I needed her to help me off the toilet and then, I’d probably get a trike :grinning:. I’ll always keep a bike even if it’s just for garage art. :sunglasses:

Today was my first chance to take “Brenda the Breva” out after having changed the front disc and pads. Pottered about some quiet local roads and then a more rural amble to Stamford. On to Oakham, gave Brenda a drink of E5 and then headed South along the A6003, through Uppingham to Caldecott where I took a left to head back to the A47 at Morcott, then back home via the Stibbington Diner where I bumped into a fellow RoSPA (Camb’s branch) member. The A6003 was a bit of a bad move due to the blinding, low Sun, I really should know better.
Nothing seems to have fallen off or come loose, and I think that I’ve introduced the disc and pads to each other in a sympathetic manner.
