What Oil for v50 rear drive box?

Hi, I’ve checked the manual and it says 0.016 agip rotra sae 80/w/140 and 0.010 agip rocal aso/r.

What should I use in plain English, something I can get from halfords…? Â

on the shelf in the UK as Hypoid Gear Oil SAE 80.

Modern oils (ie late '80’s onwards) doesn’t need it.

it’s an 81 bike, but I think I’ve found my answer, it’s labelled molybdenum disulfide

I’m not an expert but I’m led to believe that the small drive box does need the moly additive, and make sure the oil is a multigrade 80W-140 not a plain 80 or 90 grade.

I rang Moto mecca and ordered it from them
it even comes labelled especialy for thickos like me

Bought mine from a agricultural merchant costs loads less than M/C dealers
