Afternoon folks.
What a cracking weekend.
On Saturday, Spada Steve, Big Dave, Wulf, and myself went down to Wigan Motorcycles to meet Adam, the manager.
We had a natter about his plans for going forward with his Moto Guzzi dealership and after speaking with him he seems to have some big plans for interacting with MGCGB and the Pennine Branch. Watch this space!
There is a good Cafe on site, and after looking round the shop we spent time lazing in the sun with a brew and a butty, putting the world to rightsâ:sunglasses:
Wigan Motorcycles have a good range of Guzzis in at the moment, and the new models are due in soon.
He and some of his team will be in attendance at the Pennine Rally on the Saturday with their event trailer and some of the new models. Whilst demo rides will not be avaliable at the rally, the staff will answer queries on the models they have on display and you will be able to book a slot to take one out from the shop.
We had the meeting at Hamishâs today, which was very well attended, with the sunshine bringing Penniners old and new out of hibernation. Seventeen riders turned up to enjoy brekkie.
Welcome to Pete Andrews on his Roamer, and John Hill who is looking to return to the Guzzi fold after a long absence from motorcycling. We had a blast from the past when Jim from Staveley turned up on his Bellagio. We havenât seen him for a few years. He has promised to come along to the rally.
After brekkie, Kevin led a bimble over to the Cafe at the centre of the British Isles⌠Puddleducks at Dunsop Bridge.
After a brew, some headed off home from there, while the remaining Guzzisti extended the run with a trip to Glasson Dock for an ice cream.
Next meet will be the good old âParsimoniousâ meetingđ at The Morris Dancers pub in Colne on the 23rd March @ 10:00.
